Construction Metal Fixer Job Description
Job Responsibility
- Daily duties of the construction steel fixer.
- Knowledge of steel cutting and bending is essential.
- Handel steel cutting machine very well.
- Daily housekeeping in the work area
- Accurately measuring steel and cutting.
- Before installing the slab-column or beam-column, prepare the cutting steel.
- Maintain daily the steel cutting machine, and other equipment.
- Understanding the spacing between steel and formwork.
- Assisting with the installation of beam column reinforcement
- Shifting steel and machinery at work.
Job Requirement
- Experience as a steel fixer, or in a parallel role is required.
- Excellent knowledge in reading construction drawings.
- Ability to lift and move heavy steel.
- Knowledge of how to bend and cut steel is a must.
- High school diploma required
- You must speak English
- Communication with supervisors and co-workers is key.
