Design is important at Polar for two reasons
- We make something that is often very complicated (data products), accessible to small and medium-sized eCommerce sellers. The UX is reinvented.
- We are not your boring B2B SaaS. We were designed for DTC brands. Design and branding are our way of expressing that we are part and parcel of their ecosystem.

Why this role
- As our second designer, you will be part of the team and make key decisions about our design vision.
- We are developing the decision OS for eCommerce brands. This product has the potential to improve workflows for millions of users (26M global e-commerce brands), and solve a core problem (How can I make good decisions with all the data available?). by using a vertical approach.
- We gather lots of data and feedback in order to improve and grow our product-led motion. The product is the central function that directly ties to the top line.
What is the scope?
- Lead projects that cover the entire product lifecycle from conception to deployment
- Polar is looking for designers who can create compelling design systems with a focus in User Experience.
- Structure is important for the Design team. We must prioritize what aligns with company goals.
- Figma allows you to create mockups that show the end-to-end features of Figma that drive Usage and Growth.
- As they create and ship new features for their products, work closely with the Engineering team

- You are a senior/lead designer who is able mentor others.
- You are an expert in Design Methodology and Design Systems. You design systems, not just wireframes.
- Experience in product lifecycle design.
